UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State University Libraries continues its Library Discovery Hour public programming with fall events, starting with an illustrative Penn State University Press hour on Sept. 26 featuring its graphic novel imprint Graphic Mundi.

The event “Drawing Our Worlds Together: Graphic Mundi and Penn State University Press” will be held from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 26, presented on Zoom by Penn State University Press Editor-in-Chief Kendra Boileau. Virtual attendees will learn more about the press through its graphic novels for adults and young adults that address important topics and research in graphic form.

Boileau will explain how and why Graphic Mundi came to be; what it takes to create a graphic novel; and learn about some of the challenges and successes of Graphic Mundi so far. Register for this event online.

Library Discovery Hour events give attendees an inside look at today’s Penn State University Libraries and access to the perspectives of experts and students, while they learn more about the University Libraries’ primary priorities: Community, Collections and the Commons. The event series, open to the public, also showcases how philanthropy has a positive impact and connects University Libraries donors with other passionate Penn Staters.
