YORK, Pa. — There is still time to register for the Spend a Summer Evening program on Aug. 3 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Penn State York. High school juniors and seniors, adults and veterans interested in attending Penn State will not want to miss this important event. The program begins in Polli Hall of the Graham Center for Innovation and Collaboration.

Attendees will discover the value of a Penn State education, learn about the admissions process and timeline, investigate financial aid options, explore academic programs (including certificates and minors), and learn about student life as a Penn State student.

While taking a guided campus walking tour of Penn State York, students can visit the Nittany Success Center, which provides free valuable academic resources for all Penn State York students including tutoring, study skills workshops, academic coaching, and services for students with disabilities. Visitors can also catch a glimpse of the expanded and renovated Joe and Rosie Ruhl Student Community Center, and see the newest building on campus, the Graham Center, which was completed in 2021, and is home to the Graham Fellows Program for Entrepreneurial Leadership and the Center for Inclusive Leadership.

Penn State York now offers 12 four-year programs that can be completed without leaving the area. The four-year degrees that can be completed at the York campus are biology, business, corporate communication, cybersecurity analytics and operations, electro-mechanical engineering technology, English, human development and family studies, project and supply chain management, psychology (bachelor of arts and bachelor of science), information technology, and science. In addition, students can also begin the more than 275 Penn State majors available as part of the 2+2 program.

Penn State York also offers five associate degrees, a master’s of education in teaching and curriculum, and a director’s credential program.

Penn State York is home to more than 700 commuting students — a student body comprised of a rich blend of cultures, backgrounds, ages and experiences from Pennsylvania, across the United States, and numerous countries around the globe.
