YORK, Pa. — Lee Rubin’s messages are about teamwork, overcoming adversity, not quitting, having goals, and pursuing them. Rubin will share his message, “Reach Your Full Potential — Achieve Your Goals,” in a free presentation at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 3, in the conference center of the main classroom building at Penn State York. The program will provide an opportunity to hear from a man who was successful on the football field, and who is an effective businessman today.

After spending 15 years as a human resources professional with Fortune 500 companies such as Merrill Lynch, Johnson & Johnson, and Charles Schwab, Rubin began his professional speaking career. His unique ability to articulate winning principles with tremendous clarity and practical application have made him a highly sought after speaker among corporations, colleges and universities, and sports teams throughout the country. Rubin is also the author of four books, including “WIN: Simple Insights to Help You Win the Game of Life.”

Rubin, a 1993 Penn State alumnus, holds a bachelor’s degree in speech communications and a minor in business. He received a full athletic scholarship to play football for the Nittany Lions under the late Joe Paterno. Rubin not only emerged as a three-year starting free safety for the Nittany Lions, he also became a captain of the team. His successful academic and athletic experiences have earned him the credibility to understand and communicate winning strategies and principles to audiences of all ages.

According to Rubin, team players are not only those who play on sports teams, they are also people who work in organizations. Rubin will offer tips on setting and achieving goals.
