DALLAS, Pa. — Penn State Wilkes-Barre is inviting prospective students and their families to visit the campus during an open house from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 25.
The event will include campus tours along with details about the admissions process, academic program options, financial aid, athletics, housing options, student engagement opportunities and more. Prospective students also can meet faculty, ask questions of the admissions team, and talk to members of the Student Affairs department.
Penn State Wilkes-Barre offers several bachelor’s and associate degree programs that can be completed at the campus. Students also can begin one of more than 275 degree programs offered by Penn State, spending the first two years at Penn State Wilkes-Barre before transitioning to another Penn State campus, including University Park (the 2+2 Plan).
“Winter is an ideal time for high school sophomores and juniors to begin exploring colleges, as well as a time for seniors to solidify their decisions and get more answers,” said Director of Enrollment Management Janine Becker. “By visiting Penn State Wilkes-Barre, students can see our scenic, historic campus for themselves and learn about the small class sizes and personalized attention they will receive here.”
Open house attendees will have their Penn State application fee waived.
Those planning to attend can register online. If unable to attend, prospective students can schedule a one-on-one visit and tour by contacting the Admissions Office at 570-675-9238 or wbadmissions@psu.edu.
