Bike Den to host free Bike Safety 101 workshop on April 24

Open to the Penn State and Centre Region community, the Bike Den is a welcoming space for people of all ability levels to connect and engage around biking. UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State students, faculty and staff, as well as local community members ages 18 and older, are encouraged to attend a free “Bike Safety 101” workshop from 6:15 to 8:15 p.m. Thursday, April 24 at the Bike Den.

The workshop will teach participants the rules of the road and bike safety skills before bringing the group outside to a beginner-friendly course to practice.

All participants must bring a bike and helmet to participate. Participants will receive a free pair of Penn State bike lights.

Preregistration is required by Wednesday, April 23, and can be done online at the Penn State Transportation Services website.

The Bike Den is located on the ground floor of the West Deck at Penn State's University Park campus.
