UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Summer hours at Penn State University Libraries’ locations University-wide begin Sunday, May 8, and continue through Friday, Aug. 19. Hours vary by location and are listed on the University Libraries website on the Hours and Locations page

On the University Park campus, Pattee Library and Paterno Library will open its doors weekdays at 7:45 a.m., closing at 7 p.m., and will be open 1 to 7 p.m. Sundays, closed Saturdays.

University Park branch libraries — the Architecture and Landscape Architecture Library, Fletcher M. Byrom Earth and Mineral Sciences Library, Engineering Library, and Physical and Mathematical Sciences Library — will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, closed weekends.

The hours of the University Libraries’ Commonwealth Campus Libraries vary by location. Up-to-date operating hours, listed by location, are available online

Even when the University Libraries’ doors are closed, a multitude of born-digital and digitized resources are available for library users at libraries.psu.edu. While some online content is limited to Penn State students, faculty and staff because of licensing requirements, Pennsylvania residents and Penn State Alumni Association members have borrowing privileges for items in the Libraries’ catalog at all locations University-wide. In addition, Pennsylvania residents have on-site access to digitized content through University Libraries public computers and the creation of a Penn State Limited Access Account.
