UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State University Press (PSUP) has named Erika Valenti as sales and marketing director, effective Jan. 29.
Valenti began her career in publishing at MIT Press where she rose to the position of international sales and marketing manager, and most recently worked for Emerald Group Publishing as regional director for North America. She brings over 15 years of experience in sales forecasting, development and implementation of marketing plans, budget management, contract negotiations, oversight of commissioned sales forces, and the development of ebook strategies and initiatives with demonstrated sales growth.

UPs are an essential player in mission-driven scholarly communications,” said Valenti. “I look forward to being part of the leadership group, to supporting our authors and researchers, and to working alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic Press team."
