UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Teaching and Learning with Technology (TLT), part of Penn State University Libraries, is accepting self-nominations through April 8 for members of the Teaching and Learning Technologies Faculty Advisory Committee for 2025-27. This committee plays a pivotal role in the effort of integrating technology into teaching and learning across Penn State.

Faculty advisory committee members:

  • Engage regularly with fellow faculty leaders who interact with TLT
  • Provide guidance on teaching and learning decisions related to technology at Penn State
  • Recommend topical focus areas for existing programs, events and strategic directions
  • Advocate for teaching, learning, technology and innovation with fellow colleagues and in various discipline areas

The committee convenes at least three times per semester, with additional sessions scheduled when necessary, and members are expected to participate actively and communicate regularly with their designated constituency. Members also should interact routinely and asynchronously with other advisory committee members to exchange feedback and discuss timely topics.

“Our faculty are the cornerstone of technological advancement in education. Their insights and experiences guide us in shaping the future of educational innovation and impact teaching practices across the University,” Amy Kuntz, TLT learning innovation strategic initiatives coordinator, said. “We welcome faculty self-nominations to ensure a wide range of perspectives are represented on the committee to lead efforts to enhance student experiences through collaboration and innovative thinking.”

Faculty who are passionate about embracing and implementing technology in their teaching practices and are interested in exploring new pedagogical approaches are encouraged to apply. Current committee members and representatives from TLT will make the final selections and notify new members by early May. Appointed faculty committee members will serve staggered two-year terms to maintain continuity while welcoming fresh perspectives.

Faculty interested in applying or with questions are encouraged to email Amy Kuntz at aer13@psu.edu.
