UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State’s Teaching and Learning with Technology (TLT) is hosting a hybrid summer workshop for artificial intelligence literacy on the University Park campus titled “GenAI Summer Splash: Riding the Generative AI Wave for Teaching.” This two-hour hands-on workshop for faculty and staff will enhance participant skills within the evolving generative AI (GenAI) landscape.
There will be two synchronous sessions offered 10 a.m.–noon Thursday, July 18, and Monday, Aug. 5, to prepare educators for the fall 2024 semester.
All Penn State faculty and staff are welcome, regardless of their level of experience with AI. During the session, participants will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of GenAI, understand how to analyze GenAI outputs and incorporate GenAI into teaching practices. At the conclusion of the workshop, participants will be introduced to other AI opportunities and communities for continued growth in their AI exploration.
In-person attendance at the Dreamery on the lower level of Shields Building is encouraged. Alternatively, a virtual option will be available for Penn State participants across all campuses and those working or studying remotely.
For educators who are looking for a way to enhance their AI Literacy, this workshop is a great way to join the active AI community.
