UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Students at all Penn State campuses have until May 4 to provide feedback on their courses through the Student Educational Experience Questionnaire (SEEQ).
The SEEQ gives students an avenue to provide anonymous feedback to their instructor on their learning experience, the course structure and the class environment. Responses are part of how faculty members’ teaching is reviewed by their academic unit heads and instructional unit.
All SEEQ submissions are anonymous. The first four responses will be seen by the instructor and their supervisors. The final four responses of the SEEQ are open ended and only seen by the instructor. Students do not have to answer all questions in the SEEQ in order to submit the questionnaire.
Instructors can consult the Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence’s guide to talking about the SEEQ. Discussing the SEEQ with students can help them understand the importance of the questionnaire and improve response rates. Instructors may use this slide with a QR code to allow class time for students to complete the SEEQ. Instructors can discuss their SEEQ results with a Schreyer Institute faculty consultant by emailing site@psu.edu.
