UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Lion Ambassadors are looking for new members.

Lion Ambassadors are students who assist the Penn State Alumni Association and serve the University through campus projects and philanthropic activities, as well as providing private tours and appearing at campus events.

Interested students can apply to become an ambassador through Saturday, Dec. 15, at 11:59 p.m. Interviews for selected students will take place during the first week of the spring semester.

The organization’s members express their commitment to Penn State through their service, tradition, excellence and pride. To be considered for membership, applicants must be in at least their third semester and attending to Penn State University Park next academic year.

Lion Ambassadors work to instill tradition and pride throughout the student body, alumni and future Penn Staters. They manage activities such as the S-Zone during every home football game, participate in professional development opportunities, conduct campus tours, and plan community events that carry forth Penn State history and traditions.

Candidates will be selected for a preliminary interview based solely on their application. Final selections will be based on the application and a personal interview.
