UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State's Professional Attire Closet is once again accepting donations of gently used professional attire for students at University Park.
The closet, a collaboration between Career Services and the University Park Undergraduate Association, has been serving students since 2015.
Donation drop-off boxes are available in three locations at University Park: the Bank of America Career Services Center, the Hintz Alumni Center and the Business Building.
"We would appreciate if all donations were gifted in good condition to provide our student with quality apparel," said Ashley Citarella, associate director of Operations, Programs and Events at Penn State Career Services. "All clothing will be professionally dry cleaned by Monarch Cleaners before being made available to students."
Students in need can access a professional outfit free of charge with a Penn State ID during open closet hours or by appointment. Each student can select one outfit per academic year for career fairs, networking events, and interviews.
Donations, ranging from complete suits to individual pieces, support students and recent alumni who are in need of financial support during a job or internship search. Career Services, a unit in the division of Student Affairs, support all students with their career development through career counseling, workshops, programs and resources.
