UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Office of Student Accountability and Conflict Response has placed the Pi Delta Psi fraternity on organizational suspension effective Nov. 21.
The organization has been placed on an indefinite organization suspension through at least spring 2028 with an additional year of organizational conduct probation after a successful re-recognition.
Following a thorough investigation, the office found that the Tau chapter engaged in hazing new members, including coerced high-risk alcohol consumption, during the spring 2024 semester.
Both the local chapter and the national organization have been made aware of the investigation outcome.
While on suspension, the local chapter loses all privileges of a recognized student organization. The organization is prohibited from participating in, attending or organizing any functions, activities or events, including University-wide events, and may not function as a sanctioned organization at Penn State.
