UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The annual Night of Remembrance vigil will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, at Eisenhower Chapel of the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center on the University Park campus and online via livestream. The vigil will remember students who died during the 2024-25 academic year across all Penn State campuses.

The vigil, open to all members of the University and community, aims to honor the memories of those students and provide a space for reflection, healing and support for enrolled students who have passed away this past academic year. Parents and families of students are also invited to attend the vigil to provide an opportunity for reflection and remembrance, if they would like and are able. Anyone who would like to submit comments in honor of students who have passed may do so in advance here. The deadline to submit remarks is Friday, April 18.

The annual vigil is organized by the University Park Undergraduate Association, the Graduate and Professional Student Association, the Council of Commonwealth Student Governments, the World Campus Student Government Association, and Penn State Student Affairs. The vigil will feature remarks by University administrators, presidents of the four student governments, and comments by fellow students, faculty and staff. It also will include a candle-lighting observance.

Click here for more information about the vigil or to submit a remembrance message to be included in the event. All remarks will be shared with the families of students who have passed.
