UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State Student Affairs has implemented a new record-keeping system called Maxient to improve services and increase efficiency. The Office of Student Conduct and Residence Life are using Maxient to schedule appointments and document conduct cases at all Penn State campuses. Other Student Affairs offices are using Maxient to streamline processes and migrate paper-based tasks to the electronic system.
Students and student organizations will begin to see communications from Maxient. These communications will be identified as correspondence from the Office of Student Conduct, Residence Life, or another University office. To maintain their privacy, students will be asked to input their student ID number in order to retrieve the message.
As a reminder, when reaching out to students or student leaders, the Offices of Student Conduct and Residence Life will make initial contact through a student's official Penn State email address. It is important that students check their Penn State email account regularly or forward their emails to another account so they do not miss important University communications.
