UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State’s Health Promotion and Wellness team will host an open house from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5, for all students, faculty and staff in the dedicated Flourish wellness suite in 102 HUB-Robeson Center. The event will allow visitors to explore the resources and activities available to support well-being.
The Flourish suite is part of the Flourish Penn State initiative, focusing on holistic student wellness. The suite offers a calm and welcoming atmosphere for students to relax, disconnect from everyday stress, practice mindfulness and meditate. Open during business hours, the space features individualized wellness services, a meditation room, interactive mindfulness tools, biofeedback software and light therapy boxes.
Visitors can enjoy quiet study time or unwind with unique resources, including Buddha Boards, Tibetan Singing Bowls and Zen Sand Gardens.
The suite also features photography by Eric Roman, associate teaching professor in the College of Arts and Architecture. Roman’s images capture the beauty of the natural environment, merging themes of nature with mental health and well-being.
