UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State Career Services will host its annual open house for students, faculty and staff from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 4, at the Bank of America Career Services Building.
Exploring career options early and connecting with career support early is key in finding success after graduation said Matt Stein, event coordinator and employer developer with Career Services.
“Career Services’ open house event is a great opportunity for students to learn about the resources and tools that are available for all students at Penn State,” said Stein. “Understanding what support is available and how you can make yourself more marketable in a competitive job market is easier when you have professionals supporting your career journey.”
Visitors can connect with career staff from Career Services and offices across campus, learn about the exclusive Nittany Lion Careers internship and job system, get tours of the facility and the Professional Attire Closet, and learn the benefits of career coaching and counseling.
Free food, ice cream and giveaways will be available to all. Faculty and staff are encouraged to attend to connect with the network of career support at Penn State and learn ways they can integrate career development into classes and programs.
Career Services, a unit in the division of Student Affairs, supports all students in identifying interests, career goals and opportunities for professional development in partnership will colleagues in various college and campus offices. Learn more at studentaffairs.psu.edu/career.
