      A look back at the top stories from across Penn State this week:

      Greek-life center: Penn State continues its pledge to set national standards for change with the creation of the multidisciplinary Timothy J. Piazza Center for Fraternity and Sorority Research and Reform at University Park.

      Town Hall: University leaders discussed the Penn State Strategic Plan during a Town Hall event on Jan. 23.

      Distinguished Alumni Awards: Seven Penn State alumni were selected by the Board of Trustees to receive the Distinguished Alumni Award, the University's highest honor presented to its alumni.

      MLK Banquet: A record crowd packed the floor at the Bryce Jordan Center to honor civil-rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy at the 44th annual Martin Luther King Memorial Banquet.

      Palmer passing: Barbara Palmer, whose lifetime of philanthropy is evident across Penn State and the Centre region, died on Jan. 20 at the age of 93. Palmer, who was recognized as an honorary alumna, was deeply engaged as a donor and volunteer at Penn State and organizations throughout the region.

      Summer Founders: Invent Penn State's Summer Founders Program gives students an opportunity to launch business ideas.

      Hillel's new home: Penn State Hillel's new 18,000-square-foot home is more than a building — it is a symbol of the future of Jewish life at Penn State.
