UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Language Institute is offering most of its intensive courses remotely this summer. Students from all Penn State campuses are welcome to take a world language class, especially if the language they are interested in is not offered at their campus.
The languages offered are Arabic, Chinese, German, French, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latin, Russian, Spanish, and a new language this year, Yoruba. The classes are open to undergraduate and graduate students as well as to academically motivated high school students. Courses are intensive and short, lasting from two and a half to four weeks each. The beginner levels start on June 13. Partial scholarships may be available for some languages.
