UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Donna Palumbo-Miele, executive director of the Center for Supply Chain Research (CSCR) at the Penn State Smeal College of Business, has been awarded the 2024 Women in Supply Chain award by Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive.

For over five years, Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive have honored female business professionals with its annual Women in Supply Chain award, which celebrates supply chain leaders and executives whose accomplishments, mentorship and examples set a foundation for women in all levels of a company’s supply chain network. 

Among the 2024 recipients, Palumbo-Miele was recognized in the Trailblazers category, which honors female leaders who continue to pave the way for future women in logistics. With the addition of this year’s award, she becomes a four-time recipient of Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s Women in Supply Chain award. Her accomplishments underscore the importance of leadership and innovation in tackling supply chain challenges and breaking new ground in this sector. Palumbo-Miele earned the recognition under her previous role at Concordia Supply Chain Group.

These awards celebrate women who are not only excelling in their careers but also transforming the future of the supply chain industry. Award winners will be recognized at the upcoming Women in Supply Chain Forum in Atlanta on Nov. 12-13, where leaders will elevate discussions about diversity, mentorship and innovation in the industry​.
