DUNMORE, Pa. — The biannual faculty and staff assembly, a prelude to each semester, serves as a platform to recognize and celebrate the achievements of the Penn State Scranton community. All campus staff and faculty are invited to attend the event, which highlights campus developments, projects and programs, and departmental initiatives and projects.
One of the highlights of the spring event is the recognition of employees who have reached landmark years of service with Penn State. Those honored at this year's event were:
Five years of service:
- Theresa Black, lecturer in chemistry and science
- Emily Glodzik, coordinator of diversity, equity and inclusion
- Jody Griffith, assistant teaching professor of English
- Joel Perkins, alumni relations and stewardship officer
- Zhuang Qian, assistant professor of supply chain management
- Allison Tomczyk, assistant teaching professor of nursing
- Mar Tsakonas, administrative support assistant of athletics
- Shannon Williams, web designer
10 years of service:
- Agnes Kim, associate professor of physics
- Melissa LaBuda, assistant teaching professor of human development and family studies
- Paul Wasilchak, HVAC technician of maintenance and operations
15 years of service:
- John Drake, director of the center for business development and community outreach
- Mary Ann Joyce, library operations supervisor
- Renae McNair, assistant teaching professor of psychology
- Michele Nicoteri, administrative support assistant of student programs and services
20 years of service:
- Christy Healey, financial coordinator of budget and finance
- Beatriz Rivera-Barnes, associate professor of Spanish
35 years of service:
- Mostafa Tossi, assistant teaching professor of engineering
