Nominations open for Schreyer's 2025 Neil Patel Changemaker Scholarship

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State’s Schreyer Honors College is now accepting nominations for the 2025 Neil C. Patel Memorial Changemaker Scholarship. Penn State faculty or staff members are encouraged to nominate a Schreyer Scholar by Sept. 23.

Schreyer Scholars in good standing at any Penn State campus and who will be active students in spring 2025 are eligible. Students cannot self-nominate for the scholarship.

The Changemaker Scholarship honors Neil Patel, who passed away from COVID-19 in 2021. Each year, in Patel’s memory, the Schreyer Honors College recognizes a current scholar who embodies Patel's commitment to family, community, education and opportunity.

The Changemaker Scholarship recipient will receive a monetary award in the spring of 2025 and will be recognized at an upcoming Schreyer Honors College event.

More information on the Changemaker Scholarship, as well as past recipients, can be viewed on the Schreyer Honors College website.
