Expert to discuss military family risk and resilience

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Clearinghouse for Military Family Readiness will present a symposium and panel discussion to promote resiliency in military families from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 29 in the Penn State room of the Nittany Lion Inn.

Michelle Kees, psychologist and assistant professor in the child and adolescent psychiatry outpatient program at the University of Michigan Medical School will be featured at the symposium. Kees, an expert on risk and resilience in military families, will  discuss lessons learned around working with military families. As a part of the symposium, a faculty panel will engage with Kees and the audience to discuss implications of the presentation focused on action oriented research design to promote well-being of military families.
