The College of Earth and Mineral Sciences (EMS) is hosting a fall graduate poster competition and recognition event to showcase and reward the exemplary research happening within the college’s graduate community.
The poster session and reception will be held from 3 to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23. The awards presentation and special recognition of graduate excellence will be held from 4:30 to 5 p.m. Events will be held in 401 and 402 Steidle Building, University Park campus. All students, faculty and staff are welcome to attend.
The poster session is being organized by the college’s graduate student council in partnership with the EMS Office of Graduate Education and Research.
“We wish to make this a high-quality event that demonstrates the cross-cutting research within our college. We look forward to your participation in this valuable and exciting event,” said Hart Gillespie, president of the graduate student council.
Each of the college's five departments selected the best three posters from their graduate students for submission in the college-level competition. Prizes of $1,000, $750 and $500 will be awarded to the poster competition’s first, second and third place winners.
