WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — A Pennsylvania College of Technology welding student is one of four individuals in North America to receive a scholarship from the world’s largest small-quantity metal supplier.
Metal Supermarkets recently awarded a $2,500 scholarship to Alaina S. Myers, of Hanover. A dean’s list student, Myers is seeking a bachelor’s degree in welding & fabrication engineering technology.
The 2024 Trade School Scholarship judging panel consisted of Metal Supermarkets corporate staff and franchisees from stores in Chicago, Indianapolis and Minneapolis. Metal Supermarkets created the annual scholarship in response to the shortage of skilled trade workers across North America.
