Penn College programs receive Automotive Service Excellence Foundation accreditation

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Automotive Service Excellence Foundation has reaccredited six programs offered by Pennsylvania College of Technology’s School of Engineering Technologies.

Associate degrees in automotive technology, automotive technology: Honda PACT, collision repair technology and diesel technology, as well as certificates in collision repair technicianand automotive service technician received the coveted recognition.

The ASE Education Foundation is a nonprofit organization that evaluates and accredits entry-level automotive technology education programs against standards developed by the automotive service industry. All the Penn College programs underwent rigorous evaluation to receive the highest level of accreditation recognized by ASE.

“We are thrilled to receive reaccreditation for our programs, which affirms our commitment to academic excellence and continuous improvement,” said Joanna K. Flynn, vice president for academic affairs and provost. “This recognition reflects the dedication of our faculty, staff and students in maintaining the highest standards. We look forward to building on this achievement and continuing to provide exceptional learning opportunities for our students.”

There are 169 students enrolled in the six programs that earned reaccreditation.

“Accreditation is a vital process to determine if academic programs are meeting the highest of quality standards established by industry professionals,” said Bradley M. Webb, dean of engineering technologies. “Having our programs reaccredited results from the outstanding curriculum, instruction and facilities we offer at Penn College. We are very proud to receive this mark of excellence. It is well-deserved.”
