WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – An educational and service organization dedicated to promoting the engineering field to women has honored a Pennsylvania College of Technology freshman with a scholarship.

Emmalee J. Preston, of Millerton, received the $2,500 Margaret R. Brewster Scholarship from the Society of Women Engineers. Preston is seeking a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering technology.

For the 2024-25 academic year, SWE has awarded 328 scholarships, totaling nearly $1.5 million, to undergraduate and graduate engineering students.

In addition to manufacturing engineering technology, Penn College students can choose from the following manufacturing-related associate degrees: automated manufacturing technology, machine tool technologyand metal fabrication technology.
