UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Though summer is right around the corner, it’s not too late for students to register for summer courses. Summer Session 2022 will provide an opportunity for students to catch up or get ahead in their degree programs.

“Summer Session is a great time for students to take courses that did not fit into their schedules during the regular academic year or to retake a course that did not go as planned,” said Kelly Griffith, director of the Office for Summer Session. “Alternately, students can get ahead in their degree programs or make progress toward a minor or certificate. Whatever students’ goals, taking courses in summer can help them hit the ground running in fall.”

Students can choose from thousands of summer courses, offered in a variety of delivery modes, across 24 Penn State campuses. As in past summers, students from any campus have the option to take courses at any other campus, including Penn State World Campus.

If cost presents a barrier to summer study, the Summer Success Scholarship can help. Students from any campus are eligible for the scholarship if they require at least one summer course to graduate on time and have financial need. Students can learn more and apply at summer.psu.edu/scholarship. The deadline to apply is April 22.

Students can access the summer 2022 Schedule of Courses (with information about the instructional mode for each course) and register for courses in LionPATH. The academic calendar for Summer Session 2022, which includes the start/end dates and add/drop deadlines for each session, can be found on the Registrar’s website
