UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — See how students are engaging with their academics and passions at the 2021 Student Engagement Expo, with events from 6-8:30 p.m. on Nov. 10 at the HUB-Robeson Center.
Sponsored by the Student Engagement Network (SEN), the Expo gives students the chance to share their experiences through the many modes of student engagement: clubs, internships, sports, research, travel, artistic ventures and more.
Sita Frederick, director of the Center for the Performing Arts, will deliver this year’s keynote address, starting at 8 p.m. in the Freeman Auditorium. Frederick has a long professional history as a performer, administrator and artistic director, and has performed with Urban Bush Women, Arthur Avilés Typical Theater and Merian Soto Performance Practice. She is also the cofounder of Areytos Performance Works.
“Sita brings a new and unique perspective to Penn State and can challenge students to consider their student journey and personal growth from both an artistic and world viewpoint,” said Michael Zeman, director of the Student Engagement Network. “We are thrilled to share this event with her!”
