Learn about saving and investing from the Sokolov-Miller Family Center

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The financial experts at the Sokolov-Miller Family Financial and Life Skills Center are offering a workshop focused on saving and investing from noon to 1 p.m. Feb. 26.

Participants can use this Zoom link to attend the webinar at no cost. Additionally, self-study modules are available here from “MoneyCounts: A Penn State Financial Literacy Series.”

The Tuesday webinar will cover how interest compounds over time and the value of money, how to decide when you should save and when you should invest, risk assessment, the difference between savings and investment vehicles, and when to plan for retirement.

The next webinar is scheduled for March 12 and will focus on the time value of money.

The Sokolov-Miller Family Financial and Life Skills Center offers services to the entire Penn State community and is part of Penn State Undergraduate Education, the academic administrative unit that provides leadership and coordination for University-wide programs and initiatives in support of undergraduate teaching and learning at Penn State.
