UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Student Engagement Network (SEN) is seeking interns for the 2022–23 academic year, including Summer 2022, to help communicate the importance and practice of student engagement to many different audiences at Penn State and beyond.
Interns can work remotely from any campus or in-person at the University Park campus at $12 per hour for up to 20 hours per week. Schedules may be flexible. Summer interns will be asked to work in-person at University Park. Interns who start in the fall must be available for arrival weekend.
Duties include assisting with the SEN grant program, website content, the Engagement App, social media strategy, reports, surveys and events such as the Student Engagement Expo and Student Engagement Summit. Interns will also interact with current and future students, visiting parents, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni and community members by participating in resource fairs, Welcome Week events, New Student Orientation, Admissions, and parents and family events.
University Park interns will cover hours at the Engagement Space at the HUB-Robeson Center where they will service as liaisons, mentors and ambassadors of student engagement.
Candidates should be independent workers, comfortable speaking publicly, courteous and respectful of others, innovative thinkers and possess a strong work ethic.
