UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Both new and returning students to the University Park campus are welcome to join Fall Welcome Week events that continue through September.
Events are designed to greet students and help them become more familiar with Penn State and State College, whether they are beginning as a first-year students, coming to University Park from another Penn State campus, or transferring from another college or university.
“We can’t wait to welcome students to Happy Valley with our Fall Welcome events,” said Katie Motycki, director of Student Orientation and Transition Programs. “I encourage students to take full advantage of the activities we have planned so they can meet other students and begin to find their niche on campus and in the community.”

LION (Living in One Neighborhood) Bash
The LION Bash will return this year to downtown State College at the Allen Street Gates. This annual block party is a chance for students to meet their State College neighbors and learn about ways to get involved in the community. The Sept. 8 event, to be held from 5 to 8 p.m., will feature music, food and games.
Night at the Museums
Join us for Night at the Museums! On Sept. 12 and 13, select campus museums will stay open until 8 p.m. so that students can visit after hours, get a stamp on their museum passport (or start their passport adventure), and explore the cool and unusual museums around University Park. Second Annual Equity and Inclusion Carnival
Come celebrate the diversity of our student body at the Second Annual Equity & Inclusion Carnival, 3-5 p.m. on Sept. 23 at the HUB-Robeson Center. This event will feature carnival staples like inflatables, balloon artists and more — while also providing an opportunity to explore and connect with student organizations and campus resources dedicated to advancing the diversity, equity, and inclusion work here at Penn State.
