UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Second-year students enrolled in the Division of Undergraduate Studies can now apply for the DUS Scholarship, which rewards meaningful academic exploration.

Applications opened Oct. 7 and will close Nov. 10. Apply now at dus.psu.edu.

The scholarship awards a minimum of $1,000 to selected outstanding second-year students who have engaged meaningfully in their academic exploration. Students at any Penn State campus with a strong academic record who have been enrolled in DUS for at least two semesters are encouraged to apply.

The application will ask students to detail their process of academic exploration, provide a summary of their significant co-curricular activities, and illustrate connections between a general education course and a major of interest or an experience outside the classroom.

Applications will be reviewed anonymously, and applicants are asked to not include their names or other identifying information with their statement submissions. Awardees will be notified on Dec. 20.

The 2023 DUS Scholarship recipients were George Kadavil, Katelyn Ottaviano and Zoe Parizek.
