NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. — Penn State New Kensington will honor its spring 2023 graduates on May 6 with an in-person ceremony at 10 a.m. The ceremony also will be livestreamed.
Tom Guzzo, Penn State alumnus and fourth-term mayor of the city of New Kensington, will serve as the event’s keynote speaker. He also is the president of Horizon Rehabilitation Services and is a certified rehabilitation counselor. After graduating from Valley High School in New Kensington, he pursued his postsecondary education at Penn State, earning a bachelor’s degree in health, planning and administration, followed by a master’s degree in education. Proud and excited about the current revitalization in New Kensington, which includes numerous new businesses, the creation of hundreds of jobs and strengthening opportunities for the community, Guzzo credits Penn State, and specifically the New Kensington campus, for its attention and investments made in the city.
The ceremony begins at 10 a.m. in the Athletic Center. Graduates are asked to arrive and check in at 9 a.m. in Conference Center 051. Details and livestream information can be viewed at the New Kensington campus graduation website.
