Hyundai Hope on Wheels presents $400,000 grant for pediatric cancer research

HERSHEY, Pa. — Hyundai Hope on Wheels is supporting pediatric oncology research at Penn State College of Medicine. The organization presented Four Diamonds researcher Chandrika Behura, associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics, with a $400,000 grant

The Scholar Hope was presented during a handprint ceremony, which honored children in treatment for pediatric cancer by including their handprints on a Hyundai.

Hyundai Hope on Wheels is a nonprofit organization established by Hyundai Motor America that funds innovative research with the hope of finding a cure and improved outcomes for pediatric cancer. Since 2011, Penn State Health Children’s Hospital and the College of Medicine have received over $3 million in grants from Hyundai Hope on Wheels.
