Lehigh Valley LaunchBox (LVLB) continues its educational event series focusing on the unique challenges and victories of female entrepreneurs called “LaunchBox Ladies: From Passion to Profit” with a program on Wednesday, Oct. 10.
Using multiple formats including conversational interviews, videos and events, LaunchBox Ladies will share the stories of women at all stages of their businesses and careers. A $10 donation will be requested at the door. The event is open to students and the public on a limited first-come, first-served basis. Networking and the program are from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Penn State Lehigh Valley campus. Lunch is included.

Principal, Spillman Farmer Architects
Duelberg-Kraftician came to America from her native Germany and advanced to become Spillman Farmer’s first female associate in the firm's 91-year history. Her leadership within the firm, her daily work on design and planning projects, and her involvement in the community serve to guide and develop young women into professionals.

Kiana Honarmand
Visual Artist
Honarmand is an Iranian artist whose work addresses issues related to her cultural identity, the treatment of women in Iran’s society, censorship, surveillance, and the Western perception of the Middle East. Derived from her interest in different materials and processes, Honarmand’s interdisciplinary practice features the use of digital fabrication tools as well as traditional methods of craft. In 2012, Honarmand moved to the United States to pursue and complete her master of fine arts degree and currently, she lives and works in Pennsylvania. Her work has been exhibited internationally and throughout the United States.

Owner, Sheer Brick Studio
After several years as art director and senior designer for ad agencies, a newspaper, and a corporation, Mugavero began Sheer Brick Studio. Since Sheer's beginning, Mugavero has been intent on two things: working with a diverse group of interesting clients and providing a clear, appropriate and memorable means for the message.
