Join Invent Penn State’s "Dare to Disrupt" for a live podcast recording in the Inn’s 1855 Lounge at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, featuring Scholar Hotels Founder and CEO Gary Brandeis. Part of Global Entrepreneurship Week Penn State, this event offers a unique chance to hear Brandeis' personal journey in real estate and hospitality. "Dare to Disrupt" host Ryan Newman will chat with Brandeis about his career, from his first hotel acquisition in 2006 to managing major brands like Marriott, IHG and Hyatt. Brandeis also will share behind-the-scenes stories of the Inn's extensive 16-month renovation and how he transformed several local hotels into thriving businesses.
The event also includes a live Q&A session with the audience — a feature only available to in-person attendees.
Attendees are encouraged to stick around after the recording to network with other attendees and explore the Nittany Lion Inn’s new dining options. A livestream will be available on YouTube for those who cannot attend in person.
