Penn State wins NCAA wrestling championship

TULSA, Oklahoma — The Penn State wrestling team, under the direction of veteran coach Cael Sanderson, won the 2023 NCAA Wrestling Championships on March 18 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The championship is the team's 10th title in the last 12 NCAA tournaments (2020 was cancelled by the NCAA). The title also is Penn State's 11th overall and 10th since Sanderson arrived at the University prior to the 2009-10 season.

In addition, two wrestlers — Carter Starocci and Aaron Brooks — won individual championships during the tournament.
