UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State's Teaching and Learning with Technology (TLT) is relaunching AI Horizons, a monthly initiative for curious and forward-looking minds on campus.
AI Horizons capitalizes on the AI craze sweeping through industries and communities by bringing together faculty and staff across disciplines to share insights and explore the uncharted waters of AI in education.
Meetings will focus on sharing, learning or a combination of both. Faculty and staff are invited to share their groundbreaking work involving AI, from tinkering with new tools to implementing chatbots in assignments. In hands-on learning experiences, attendees will get their hands dirty, figuratively speaking, by using AI tools in real-world applications.
Participants will leave with inspiration and actionable skills to take back to their classrooms, labs and offices.
The first meeting will be held at 9 a.m. Oct. 17, featuring Stephen Hart from Adobe. Hart will share the latest information on Adobe Firefly, AI integrations within the Adobe Creative Suite, and Adobe’s Content Authenticity Initiative.
The meeting will be held in the Dreamery in the lower level of the Shields Building. For those attending remotely, click here to join by Zoom.
AI Horizons' dedicated Microsoft Teams space is AI in the Classroom, a virtual hub for faculty and staff to connect with others and foster discussions on the integration of AI in the teaching and learning environment.
