Teaching and Learning with Technology Impact Award nomination period now open

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Nominations are being accepted through Oct. 13 for the 2024 Teaching and Learning with Technology Impact Award. Any full-time Penn State faculty member with a demonstrated history of transforming education through the long-term, innovative use of technology is eligible for nomination.

Of particular interest are full-time faculty (i.e., tenure track or non-tenure track, term or no term, or teaching faculty) who have developed projects, courses and collaborations that could significantly improve teaching, learning and scholarship across multiple academic areas at Penn State and beyond.

The nomination form includes complete details on eligibility, evaluation and selection criteria. Self-nominations are welcome, as are nominations from any faculty, staff or student.

Ryan Solnosky, associate teaching professor of architectural engineering in the College of Engineering, received the 2023 award for his work integrating multiple technological teaching tools to provide students with rich, hands-on experiences in the classroom.

The 2024 receipt will receive a commemorative medal, a $3,000 cash award, an invitation to serve as a  Teaching and Learning with Technology ambassador and additional support to extend the impact of their work.
