UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State has unveiled its latest enhancement to improve the dining experience for students at University Park and the Commonwealth Campuses with the release of Penn State Eats Mobile in the Penn State Go app.
Located in the dining section in the Penn State Go app, users can tap on Penn State Eats Mobile to order food directly from their mobile devices at University Park and Commonwealth Campuses.
Penn State Eats Mobile streamlines the ordering process with a responsive native mobile app experience, which includes accessing order history for quick reordering and improved access to payment methods to select the most convenient one for the order.
With students increasingly relying on their mobile devices to manage their lives, the Penn State Go app is an example of the University’s commitment to be at the forefront of technology and innovation to meet the needs of the modern student.
“As we work toward a digital campus experience, the release of the Penn State Eats Mobile in the Penn State Go app showcases Penn State's commitment to meet the evolving needs of students by enhancing their dining experience at University Park and the Commonwealth Campuses,” David Snyder, associate vice president for Auxiliary and Business Services. “Penn State Eats Mobile provides students with a seamless, user-friendly mobile ordering platform that saves time and offers convenience.”
Students can skip the lines and enjoy the convenience of ordering their favorite latte in the morning on their way to class or placing their dinner order to fuel up for a long night of studying, all with just a few taps on their mobile devices.
Before Penn State Eats Mobile, while students could place orders through the Penn State Eats web interface within the Penn State Go app, the new Penn State Eats Mobile is a significant step forward in the evolution of mobile ordering technology, providing students with a more dynamic, personalized and user-friendly experience with advanced security measures to protect their personal and financial information.
“I’ve had a great experience using Penn State Eats Mobile and I am excited about its rollout,” said Isabel Graham, chair of campus operations for the University Park Undergraduate Association. “Students will definitely feel more inclined to order food through their mobile devices because of the more streamlined integration in the Penn State Go app.”
UPUA Vice President Giselle Conception added, “Penn State Eats Mobile is exceptionally user-friendly and provides students a straightforward way to navigate campus dining. I think students will feel more comfortable with mobile ordering with this addition in the Penn State Go app."
Available from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store, the Penn State Go app has surpassed 200,000 downloads, with 26 user experiences covering individual Commonwealth Campuses, University Park, World Campus, faculty, staff, alumni, parents and families. It also serves as a vital communication channel for students to receive timely information and engage with special events on and around Penn State's campuses.
Other recent enhancements and integrations to the Penn State Go app include:
- Exclusive Penn State deals at campus retail and dining locations.
