New Workday user interface to debut in August

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Workday users across Penn State will experience an improved look and feel to the system this August.

Users will see a new homepage when they log in, making it easier for them to navigate within the system. The new homepage will be divided into as many as six sections, depending on each user’s security role. These sections include Awaiting Your Action, Timely Suggestions, Your Team (for managers only), Quick Tasks, View All Apps, and Announcements – personalized to the individual user. There are also improvements to the search functionality and users will be able to access Apps from anywhere in Workday.

The new interface is the latest initiative from the WorkLion Management Office to improve the Workday user experience at the University. It will also enhance the experience on the Workday mobile application, which was implemented in May 2021.

To support this change, all Workday support resources will be reviewed and updated before going live on Aug.9. More information on this change will be coming soon.
