UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Dave Gindhart has been named interim associate vice president for Penn State IT's Enterprise Systems and Services (ESS). He replaces Jen Stedelin, who became vice president for IT and chief information officer on July 1.

Gindhart will lead ESS in addition to his current role as associate chief information officer for University IT Partnerships.

"Dave has already forged strong partnerships across the University in his associate CIO role. This foundation will prove valuable as he takes on the additional work in ESS," said Stedelin. "I appreciate his willingness to serve in this critical role as we search for a permanent replacement."

ESS is responsible for a complex portfolio of critical systems, services and projects that serve faculty, staff and students across the University, including Canvas, LionPATH, WorkLion, SIMBA and Microsoft 365, to name just a few.

"The ESS team is the largest department in Penn State IT with a broad scope of responsibilities," Gindhart said. "I am looking forward to working with them as they continue their excellent support of the mission of the University while meeting the needs of business units across Penn State."
