UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Ten faculty members in the Penn State College of Information Sciences and Technology (IST) were selected to join the Dean’s Circle of Teaching Excellence for 2023.
Established in 2019, the Dean’s Circle of Teaching Excellence recognizes outstanding contributions to the College of IST’s academic mission through classroom teaching, the mentoring of students, curriculum development, and other teaching-related activities.
“This is an opportunity to recognize the tremendous teaching efforts made by our talented faculty,” said Andrew Sears, dean of the College of IST. “Our honorees have made exceptional efforts in providing the best education to the next generation of IST professionals.”
This year’s recipients, selected by Sears, are:

- Hadi Hosseini, assistant professor
- David Hozza, lecturer
- Ting-Hao “Kenneth” Huang, assistant professor
- Henry Moeller, lecturer
- Mary Beth Rosson, professor
- Suhang Wang, assistant professor
- Dan Welch, assistant teaching professor
- Qingyun Wu, assistant professor
- Xiang Zhang, associate professor
