HERSHEY, Pa. — Extra Life Hershey, a Children’s Miracle Network fundraising program, will host its second annual 24-hour Game Day this weekend at the Harrisburg University of Science and Technology’s Student Union Center, located on the arcade level of the Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts. The gaming marathon will last from 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2 to 10 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3.

During Extra Life’s biggest fundraising event of the year, more than 100 Extra Life community members will come together with a goal of raising $25,000 for Penn State Health Children’s Hospital. Funds raised will be used to purchase lifesaving medical equipment, provide essential services and support advanced research to improve children’s health outcomes.

“We’re excited to host this event and build on the momentum we’ve created all year. It’s amazing to see so many new gamers join us, using their love of gaming to positively impact children and families at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital,” said Katie Anderson, director of Children’s Miracle Network. “This is a unique opportunity to give the gift of growing up.”

The event is a collaborative effort between Extra Life Hershey and Harrisburg University, offering an interactive way to make a meaningful impact through gaming for good. Participants will engage in a variety of gaming activities, including console and handheld games, board games, tournaments and live-action Candy Land. The marathon will conclude with a finale hour where Children’s Miracle Network Miracle Child Harper will reveal the total amount raised.

The event is sponsored by The Hershey Company.
