HERSHEY, Pa. — The 18th annual People’s Pay 4 Play on WQXA-FM 105.7 THE X on Nov. 21 and 22 raised $387,731.16 for the Children’s Miracle Network at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital. That brings the event’s 18-year fundraising tally to $3,789,484.40.
Nipsey, Jen Shade and Vince from "The People’s Morning Show" hosted the 28-hour event. Listeners made donations to hear their song requests played on air, while community partners revealed fundraising totals from the past year. Patients and their families also shared heartfelt stories about their medical journeys.
“The 18th annual Pay 4 Play was unforgettable,” said Katie Anderson, director of the Children’s Miracle Network. “Hearing firsthand from families who have been impacted by the care at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital helps everyone understand the value of having a world-class children’s hospital right here in our community — one whose reach extends far beyond central Pennsylvania. We value the tireless commitment of 'The People’s Morning Show' team and 105.7 THE X, the generous support of local organizations, and above all, the donors who feel so strongly about helping pediatric patients. The funds raised will go a long way in providing lifesaving equipment, patient-focused services and innovative research — truly giving the gift of growing up.”
