UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Center for Healthy Aging will host “Move it! Physical Activity and Aging” as part of its Healthy Aging Community Lecture Series at 10 a.m. April 14 at Juniper Communities at Brookline, located at 1930 Cliffside Drive in State College.
The lecture will be presented by Christine Phillips, post-doctoral fellow at the Center for Healthy Aging. She will address the current state of knowledge about physical activity and exercise, incorporating workouts compared to reducing sedentary behavior, and how to develop personal strategic based on current science.
A breakfast will be served at 9 a.m. There is no cost to attend but reservations are required. To make a reservation call 814-865-4773.
The lecture series is a community partnership developed and sponsored by the Penn State Center for Healthy Aging, The Village at Penn State, Mount Nittany Medical Center, Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Penn State, Foxdale Village, Juniper Village at Brookline and Home Instead Senior Care.
