Students win at IEEE regional Student Activities Conference and Competition

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Several students in Penn State Harrisburg’s School of Science, Engineering and Technology (SSET) took the two top spots in the Brown Bag Competition at the annual Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers' (IEEE) Region 1 and 2's Student Activities Conference (SAC) and Competition held in April at Villanova University.

The first-place team included Luke Goldstein, Max Valentine, Michael Villalona and Peter Lee. The second-place team included Gabryel Bento, Matthew Newman, Aaron Beverlin and Darius Linen-Scott.

Fifteen students from the electrical engineering, electrical engineering technology and mechanical engineering programs attended the conference and competition, accompanied by adviser Seth Wolpert, associate professor of electrical engineering.
