MALVERN, Pa. — Penn State Great Valley recently held its annual golf outing at Applecross Country Club in Downingtown, and raised over $30,000 for student scholarships.

Seventy-two golfers participated in the event, which also featured a silent auction, wine pull, several raffles, golf contests on the course, and prizes for 1st-, 2nd- and 3rd-place golf winners.

The formal program featured a dinner, awards ceremony and keynote address from Adam Brenneman, a former Penn State football player who is a three-time All American Athlete, media personality and college football analyst.

Brenneman spoke about his time playing football at Penn State and the core values that Penn State football coach James Franklin instills in his players — including the importance of a positive attitude, strong work ethic and a willingness to sacrifice for your team.

Penn State Great Valley volunteers, co-chairs and sponsors worked hard to make this event possible. Advisory Board members Dallas Krapf and Joe Henry served as the golf outing co-chairs, and the presenting sponsors were Di and Dallas Krapf.
