LinkedIn and Interviewing Workshop — Accelerate to Industry

It often can all come down to how a student interviews when looking for a job. This workshop will look at the principles of expert interviewing, as well as how to use the features on LinkedIn to keep the networking game moving. Registration is required to attend this session.
This workshop is part of the series, "Accelerate to Industry (A2i) Job Search Strategies: The Essentials Series." The A2i Job Search Strategies module is specifically geared towards graduate and professional students interested in careers outside of academia. The Essentials Series this semester is designed to give students a broad understanding of career exploration, job search process and the tools needed to succeed.
Writing Abstracts for Papers and Conferences — EPPIC Workshop

In this workshop, students will consider the key purposes of the abstract as a genre of writing, analyze sample abstracts to understand common organizational strategies, recognize specifics of language regularly used in abstracts, and gain awareness of discipline-specific writing conventions for abstracts.
